#Jubilee Mission College of Nursing (JMCON) is a unit of Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute (JMMC&RI) under the auspices of catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur, primarily for the benefit of the members of catholic community JMCON was established in 13 December 2003 blessed by Arch bishop His Grace Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy and inaugurated by Honorable Chief minister Shri.Oomen chandy. The college of nursing started its humble beginning in the hospital premises with four year BSc Nursing Degree course with the motto of ‘service with love’.

Now it is located in the lap of a quite green laded area, Kachery, dotted with trees and bushes making the area ever more picturesque. JMCON stands in all its glory and majesty to provide knowledge, wisdom and experience of a life time to all those who travel by the bumpy roads of care, sacrifice and commitment.

It is open like all other educational institutions under catholic auspices to all people irrespective of caste, religion or community. JMCON is affiliated to Calicut University, Kerala and recognized by Indian (INC)& Kerala Nursing Council(KNC). Now the course is affiliated to Kerala university of Health Science (KUHS) with its establishment in the year 2010.

Eligibility for admission
  • Male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates for admission to the course of Bachelor of science in Nursing shall be required to have passed the higher secondary course/ Pre-Degree course or any other course with 10+2 years recognized as equivalent there to by University of Calicut with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Selection will be made on the basis of Govt. Medical Entrance Examination and according to measures presented by Govt/ University from time to time .Management students are selected by college entrance examination and viva.

  • Every students shall greet / salute their teachers in the formal way on the occasion of his meeting with them first for the day within the college campus.
  • Students are required to observe the order at all time in the college and make as little noise as possible while moving from one place to another .
  • Students are required to read daily the notice board and know all orders and posting.
  • Ragging is any form is a criminal offence and will be dealt with in all seriousness. Any such activities will be reported to the police and the students indulging in ragging will be expelled/ dismissed from the college. The senior as well as junior students are direct to report instances of ragging if any, that may happened.

Curricular and extracurricular activities are organized regularly at various levels in collaboration with all the departments.

  • Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

    PTA aims for the melioration of the students by inviting interaction among management, teachers and parents where important decisions are taken and implemented.

    PTA of JMCON conducts one General Body Meeting GBM in year and executive meetings are held every three months. The executive committee chaired by PTA President supports college day, graduation day and donates awards and scholarships.

  • Community Activities

    Scientific exhibitions medical camps health awareness rallyes role plays governmental activities like participating in pulse polio, leprosy & filariasis control programmes, school health programmes various health awareness days are also organized in collaboration with various departments.

  • Remedial Teaching

    Remedial teaching offers assistance to the slow learners.

Extra curricular SNA Activities

For the overall development of students a number of opportunities are provided to develop their skills and talents at various levels, through membership to SNA and participation at local state national conferences and scientific exhibitions in the context of ‘Thrissur pooram’ W to promote leadership potentialities in the students , Opportunities for activities like sports and arts are also provided through this association. Graduation day, lamp lighting ceremony, occasions like Onam, Christmas, Ramsan, independence day are duly celebrated in every year. Our marching band is the integral part of Jubilee mission events. Students welcome the chief guest of the event with band of Indian culture.

  • Wellness programmes

    Students are encouraged to avail themselves for opportunities to pray in the college, such as retreats, first Friday Holy mass, confessions, and Rosary in the month October.

  • Guidance and counseling

    Guidance and counseling services, as helpful resource are provided to the students who need support. A full time qualified mental health professional is available to provide confidential personal counseling for the students.


A well set ventilated classroom, seminar halls, spacious examination hall, a serene prayer hall and an auditorium which can accommodate 2000 seats are made available in the college.

    The necessary lab facilities are available for the academic accomplishment of the students. The laboratories are well equipped with modern manikins and simulation.

    The central Library attached to the college has the objective of catering the academic, research and professional needs of various clientele. The library will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm on all working days. Library is spacious and well equipped with Book Magic Software for all library transactions. Library consists of 3540 books, 10 international Journals, 6 National Journals, 320 CD’s, 106 Back volumes, 30 Nursing projects, 2 News Papers.

  • Hostel

    The college has its own well ventilated hostel inside the campus for girls and faculty. It is made suitable to promote learning experience of students. College has a good playground, where the students are encouraged to involve in various games and sports events.
    During the stay in hostel, the students will strictly adhere to the hostel rules and regulations. Hostel is attached to a chapel to nurture divinity among students. Apart from that there is a hygiene mess, counseling room, sick room & visitor’s room
